So for those of you that don't yet know, for the next month or so I will be getting ready for my Year Abroad. It's a compulsory part of my degree during which I must spend at least 8 months abroad in a country speaking one of the languages that I study, I have to either teach, work or study. After a series of interviews in January and February with the British Council I was offered a teaching placement in Chile. Last Wednesday the final details were confirmed and it is now official that I will be spending 11 months in Concepción, Chile. I will be working at the INACAP institution, a kind of vocational college (http://www.inacap.cl/tportalvp/inacap-concepcion-talcahuano).
This blog will be my way of updating everybody with what I'm up to and how everything is going. I'll be trying to post regularly with lots of pictures and stories!
